Miron Construction Wins National Contractor Award

NEENAH, Wis. — Miron Construction Co., Inc.'s Lambeau Field North & South End Zone Stadium Improvement project has been selected as the winner of a 2015 Associated General Contractors Alliant Build America Award in the Construction Management Renovation category. This is the first AGC national win for the company.

“Lambeau Field is a great source of pride for the Green Bay Packers organization, for Packers fans worldwide and for our team at Miron Construction,” stated Tim Kippenhan, vice president & chief operating officer of Miron. “We"re proud to be the builder of choice for our home team and to represent such a legendary piece of Wisconsin's culture at a national level. Elevating our community and the fan experience was a large part of our commitment to this project and it shows in the finished product.”

Presented by the AGC of America and Alliant Insurance Services, the AGC Alliant Build America Awards recognize projects that reflect contractor excellence, talented project management, strategic collaboration, quality safety programs and increased environmental awareness. As the official provider of construction services for the Green Bay Packers and Lambeau Field, Miron was involved with upgrades to the stadium that included the addition of:

  • Nearly 7,000 seats in the south end zone
  • New gates
  • Rooftop viewing platforms on north and south end zones
  • Two HD video boards
  • New sound system

The $145-million Lambeau Stadium improvement project improves traffic flow/overall entrance and exit patterns, as well as the game-day experience for players and fans alike.

AGC President Alan L. Landes and representatives from Alliant Insurance Services Inc. presented Miron's award during the 96th Annual AGC Convention at the Alliant Build America awards luncheon on March 19 in San Juan, Puerto Rico at the Puerto Rico Convention Center.
